Darren Webster-Clarke

Head Teaching Professional

Darren qualified as Runner-up in ‘91 as the PGA / Titleist Scholarship of the Year Award and was winner of the Mizuno Midland Assistants Matchplay championship.
After not Qualifying for the European Tour he dedicated himself more to Coaching and worked at Golf Club Schloss Breitenburg in Germany for 7 years.
In 2000 famed International guru Peter Cowen approached him to open his first Academy in Oslo. He had been a long standing pupil of Pete, his passion had become coaching and had shadowed him at many Tour Events over the years. After Opening Oslo he formed a company where he was an equal partner and opened Academies in Dubai and Rotherham, Darren helped with his stable of Tour Players including Thomas Bjorn and Henrik Stenson.
They parted ways in 2004 where he then continued to work with Tour Players such as:
Soren Hansen, Richard Green, Anders Hansen, Alex Noren, Patrik Scholand, Rikard Karlberg, Mikeal Lundberg, Martin Erlandsson, Suzann Petersen and Marianne Skarpnord, to name a few.
He was appointed National Golf Coach for Norway and helped form the highly successful Team Norway project which now has 2 players on the PGA Tour. Marianne Skarpnord was Runner up on the LET Order of Merit 2019, and Suzann’s Heroics secured the 2019 Solheim Cup. Espen Kofstad won the Challenge Tour Order of Merit and represented Norway in the Olympics in Rio with Suzann and Marianne.
Working with Players closely over the years he quickly realised that for a Player to succeed they needed to have control over their Mind; so he became a NLP Master Practioner learning the Method from Richard Bandler himself; He studied Hypnotherapy under Paul McKenna and recently he became a Level 3 Mental Health First Aid Teaching Instructor.

Darren is now available at Oulton Hall Academy to coach golfers of all standards and will be heading up the FUEL Elite golfer programme.
